Step behind the scenes at one of Brunswick’s leading rehearsal and creative production spaces, and hear how local infrastructure, collaboration and connection help Brunswick’s creative community thrive.
Join the Brunswick Design District Open Studio Series for a behind-the-scenes visit to The Hen House Rehearsal Studios.
Located just around the corner from BRUDI in Tinning Street, The Hen House provides purpose-built rehearsal rooms for musicians, DJs, podcasters and production teams.
Hear from owner Rob Nassif about the evolution of The Hen House, the role rehearsal spaces play in supporting creative practice, and why Brunswick’s creative community made it the ideal location for the studio’s Melbourne expansion.
Will Ewing from Brunswick Ballroom will also share his perspective on music in Brunswick and the local ecosystem that supports the industry. Following a guided tour, there’ll be an opportunity to connect with fellow creatives, designers and makers over a light lunch.

What turns living near each other into feeling connected? Join the next Loops of Learning conversation to explore social connection, everyday belonging and what helps communities grow - including right here in BRUDI’s own workplace neighbourhood.
A familiar face. A conversation that goes beyond hello. Somewhere you feel welcome, and people who notice when you’re not around.
What turns living/working near each other into feeling connected?
This Loops of Learning conversation explores the places, habits and relationships that help community grow - as well as the pressures and unwritten rules that can get in the way.
Who finds it easy to connect? Who gets left out? And how do we create the conditions for communities where more people feel they belong?
We’ll think about our neighbourhoods in the broadest sense, but we’ll also bring the conversation home to BRUDI. We share a building and a workplace neighbourhood - but what could help it feel more connected? What opportunities are there to know each other better, share ideas and resources, and create a stronger sense of community here?
Through shared experiences, thoughtful questions and a little imagination, we’ll explore what stronger social connection could look like - at BRUDI and in the neighbourhoods and communities we’re each part of.
Everyone is welcome. Come on your own or bring someone along. No specialist knowledge is needed - just curiosity and a willingness to listen, question and imagine together.
